About Me
Hey, y'all!
I'm assuming at this point, you should already have picked up on two facts about me: I'm southern (yes, I actually use the word y'all in everyday conversation :) ) and I'm short. I mean very short. At 4'11" I'm barely able to ride the big rides at amusement parks and every child in my family is taller than me by the age of 11. The great thing is, I'm perfectly ok with that!
To quote Shakespeare, "Though she be but little, she is fierce!"
Now, there are some things you need to know about me otherwise future posts may not make much sense.
Number 1: I am a Christian! No, I'm not gonna try to force Jesus on you. I love Jesus and I try to follow his example. I believe that He is God incarnate and he died, was buried, and raised again so that I could spend eternity with Him.
Number 2: I am a wife and mother! I've been married for nearly 7 years and I have three young kids less than three years apart. I adore my family despite how nuts they can drive me!
Number 3: I'mcheap frugal! Do I take
hand-me-downs? Yes! Do I shop second-hand shops? Yes! Do I try to find
ways to save money with DIY and refashioning? YES! I don't really do
"Brand Name" stuff (unless I can get it really cheap, of course. ;) )
and I never buy full price if I can help it.
Of course, I'm sure you will learn much more about me as this blog unfolds but it's best to start with the basics.
So, what is this blog about??
I plan for it to be a kind of helper for people like myself. I would like to share all the little short-cuts and sanity saving life secrets that I have found (and I encourage you to share yours, too!). I'll do some DIY projects, easy recipes, re-fashions, and more! I plan on posting about twice a week (more depending on how much time I can find, less if the house is a disaster area!). I love to hear questions, feedback, and advice, so, don't hesitate to comment on anything.
